Horses for Sale

Cornerhouse is known around the barn as Killer. His name hardly describes his personality, he is very much more like a dog than a ravenous beast.

Killer was purchased in June of 2002, in Ireland. I was on a trip with Kristin Schmolze along with Denny Emmerson, we went to help Kristin with her search for horses. At the time I was also looking for a horse, but due to my limited funds, I was looking one with little to no experience.

So at each farm we visited I spoke to the owners to see if they might have a horse that would fit the bill. Nearing the end of our time in Ireland, I finally got a 'maybe'. We took a fifteen minute drive down the hedge lined roads to a local farm. Killer was not yet officially for sale; for the previous three months, he along with one other

horse was eating grass in an attempt to gain some weight. I rode him for 15-20 minutes, walk, trot, canter, and jumped 2'6" or so, bought him on the spot. Below you will see a picture of him that day, the subsequent pictures lead up to now. Killer was born June 6, 1996; by Edmund Burke out of Dunnman's Night.

Killer was purchased in the spring of 2005 by Josephene LaCosta, he continues to compete with her.
